Hopefully it will be back soon. Where did you see that the UK banned it?DaveTheBoss wrote: Fri May 10, 2024 6:10 pmThis site has unfortunately disappeared, banned by the United Kingdom recently. I only enjoyed it for a month, before I didn't know it existed, I must be in trouble or cursedInfinity wrote: Tue Dec 26, 2023 2:46 pm It does seem like most of the websites listed here have long been closed, so it's lovely to see something still up and running..
There's a Facebook Group that last had a post in March - https://www.facebook.com/pigtailsinpaintNight457 wrote: Fri May 10, 2024 6:31 pm (I will actually use the word without asterisks.) Isn't it on FACEBOOK anymore?

Nothing escapes Facebook. Once there, one never leaves.

I do not have a Facebook account so the posts there are not easily viewed.

Later, I see these most recent replies:~ PRESS RELEASE ~
Dear Pigtails In Paint readers,
As you have undoubtedly noticed, our site is down because our domain has expired. What should have been a routine process is turning out to be a hassle.
In late December, our technician (trusted with managing the technical side of the site), had a medical emergency and was presumably hospitalized. Because his partner is less technically proficient, she was unwilling to take over completely. She did her best to pass on access codes and whatnot to me (Ron, Editor-In-Chief), but was only partially successful. Although I was able to access the relevant accounts, I did not have complete access to the domain name (through Cloudflare) and have not figured out how to get a copy of the site backup through Cyberpanel. An associate with experience in this area was unable to get a backup as well. I am still trying, but at the very least, PIP will have to take a break for a while until things can be straightened out. I still have some other options for whom to approach to assist in all this.
I know it is tempting to come to conspiratorial conclusions here, but I assure readers that this was just some bad luck and a system that is far from user-friendly. Naturally, anyone willing to help is welcome to reach out through the site email or Messenger to see what can be done. I simply don’t have the time to pursue this issue full time and take on the steep learning curve of figuring things out, and some information I would need to have more complete access.
I admit that part of this is my fault by not having as much hands-on access as I should have in case of an emergency. Even if I don’t regain access, I know there is a pretty recent backup out there that I may get my hands on at a later date.
Please don’t despair because PIP has already been a success. Despite persistent resistance, we have been able to keep things going and give the public access to the hard materials that comprise the “Cult of the Girl-Child”, promoting honest debate and resisting the forces of blind censorship for roughly 13 years! In short, we have shown others how it might be done and how not to descend to the mentality of basest impulses and offering fodder to our detractors.
I have heard that similar problems have been experienced by Agapeta and the Graham Ovenden sites as well.
Thank you all for your support and if there is anything worthwhile to report, it will be posted here.
Warm regards,
Ron, Editor-In-Chief
