If you enjoy movies in the "bad ass little girl" genre(similar but slightly adjacent to the "evil little girl" genre) don't forget Dafne Keen in Logan and the recently released Abigail starring Alisha Weir! Both play a huge part in each movie.

My personal favorite has to be Let the Right One In, it's a bit less fast paced than the other mentioned films, but it mixes horror and an actually sweet love story really well. It's a top 10 movie of all time for me, personally. Also, there are a lot of misconceptions about this movie, the writer of the book has very clearly stated it is meant to be a love story and that Eli is not meant to be manipulating the boy.

Let Me In is also perfectly fine. Many people will prefer young Chloë Grace Moretz, and I don't really blame them, she's great. Also, it's directed by Matt Reeves who is probably close to my favorite big budget movie director at the moment. There are little things I just don't like as much and I feel removes some of the complexity of the plot. In case you aren't familiar with the story I won't go into further than that.

One more slightly off kilter option is M3gan. Megan is a combination of FX, but when she is moving around like a human she is played by gymnast Amie Donald who was 11 at the time. You also have Violet Mcgraw who is the costar and in most of the movie.(her and her sister Madeline have become horror movie staples in the past few years.)

Spoiler: I should've elaborated, the screenwriter is also the person who wrote the book. Which, yes, the director is kind of the last say, ultimately. Plus, it's art, at the end of the day you can interpret how you want and no one can really stop you. I actually interpreted the ending as her replacing her former caretaker with Oskar until I read that there is a follow up story that clarifies she eventually turns Oskar, meaning she views him differently than the previous dude. I was kind of disappointed at first when I read that because I thought it killed some of the moral ambiguity of the ending. I might be becoming less cynical as my years pass by because I have grown to prefer the "it's actually love" ending, and I also spent some time thinking about vampire logic and how it would work. I think if you were turned at 12 years old, you'd just never become an adult. You would have more...pattern recognition and some level of wisdom that other people your age wouldn't possess, but you still have the brain that functions at the level of a 12 year old. I know I am trying to logic out the details of a mythical creature, but it has to be one way or the other, and I think it's an interesting question.

I agree that writers usually have the most insight into their own creations but that does not stop me from disagreeing with them, especially when their views extend to human nature in general. Lindqvist is absolutely right to clear up any misunderstandings about his authorial intent when he wishes. I just believe that there is no such thing as "perfect love" and that love is still love when it involves self-interest, manipulation*, and even outright abuse. It is up to everyone to decide for him or herself how much they are willing to take and when they have to say "No thanks, I do not need your kind of love anymore." Your thinking about the logic of the story seems reasonable to me. Thanks for info about the follow-up.

[*In short, my own view is that it IS a love story AND Eli is ALSO manipulating the boy.]

I really liked M3gan. It could've been a lot better if they'd leaned into the ridiculous nature of the story and went more over the top. I mean you have a gymnast they should've been doing Upgrade / Malignant style over the top action scenes at least once or twice.

I would say all little girls are cute, beautiful,hot, sexy or nice depending on what adjective you want to use to describe them. They all have their charm in their own unique way. The Olsen twins, Dakota and Elle Fanning are a favourite as well as the American Girl movies, not to mention Brooke Shields Pretty Baby depending on what or how much of them you want to see; if you know what I mean. However some would say some kids are better looking than others, so it pretty much boils down to what you think is the "eye candy" of the day is.
