Hello. I bring some good news. I have 1080p version downloaded with me. i had to use a vpn and download it from ru tracker torrent. it took me 2 whole days for it. but here's the kicker its not subbed. good news is that is not hard coded subs. we need someone who could add the eng subs in it. i tried to find eng sub srt files but could not find any. lets hope it works.
and how can i share the files?

If so, it's easy

Just upload them to a file hosting site (Like pixeldrain or mega for example) You'll need to create an account

(I am already downloading it by torrent, so at least I might not need to wait for direct-download or emule links. 19.48 GB is definitely quite a bit for one person to upload!)

I see it was posted at Rutracker this October 21. Since that is more than a week after I last looked for other sources, I don't feel so bad that I somehow "missed" it when it just was not there yet.

The torrent has Russian ASS subtitles. Opensubtitles has English ASS and Ukrainian SRT subtitles:

If the English subtitles are not already synced for this version, I can sync them after I have the video files. I can also convert the ASS to SRT for those who do not like ASS. (Dude, that's the format: .ass ! ) I had already downloaded them from opensubtitles because I was confident that a complete alternate source would be found, and I wanted to be ready if it needed subtitles.

WOW, that transfer.it link is very fast! It is much faster than regular MEGA, and of course faster than the torrent. (It did not require logging in to a MEGA account or any other account.)

With most video players (like VLC or MPC) the video and an external subtitle file will play together if they are named the same and are together in the same folder. (You may have to select the subtitle from the Subtitle tab or in a player Menu.)

For example "Barakamon Ep01.mkv" and "Barakamon Ep01.srt" would play together.

You only had numbers for your download files: 1.mkv 2.mkv etc. There is no way I would leave a file as just a number, so I made them
Barakamon 01.mkv, Barakamon 02.mkv etc... I renamed the subtitle files to match. You can rename them however you want, just make sure the video and the subtitle are together and named alike.

The opensubtitles English .ass subtitles were synced, but I did minor cleanup. I recommend this version if it works with your video player because it sometimes repositions the text at the TOP of the screen or one SIDE so it is not on top of text in the video. Some titles are colored or in different fonts. It looks very nice and makes it easier to understand the subtitles.

I also made English .srt subtitles with NO FORMATTING, just plain text and positioned all at the bottom of the video.

Im glad it worked. I think I'll share this sub file and Live episode link in the Barakamon reddit group. It may help someone who is looking for it.
I'll use the srt file it looks good. Thanks for the help.
