Thanks for all of your upgrades, shalman. I am grabbing your x265 rip now.

I am curious about these DIY parts. Do you have to combine the audio to the video using a program like mkvmerge?

That is without a doubt the most brilliant and generous idea I have ever encountered for online sharing! Thank you!

I am a nerd for commentaries. I have been playing many of my old DVDs with the commentaries going while I work on the computer, because I am familiar enough with the movie that I don't have to intently watch the image at all times. For downloads, most of the time the only way to get a commentary also is to download an entire disk. When that means a 60 GB+ 4K Remux, I balk at doing so because I have limited storage space now. When I really really want to hear the director (or whoever) sharing his insights but only need to keep a smaller file, I download the remux AND a smaller file and then use MKVToolnix to mux the commentary in with the smaller file. Then I delete the big file to make space for other movies. Worst-case scenario is that I spend hours recoding the full disk to my own created rip to have a smaller file. I can do that, but... With your new way I can give my download queue and computer processing time a break and still get what I want. Awesome! Of course I expect you probably did this on a whim and will not want to make a habit of it, but it is still a great experiment.
Spoiler:

I downloaded Remuxes of both the BluRay and the 4K of "Xanadu" and also a small Rip and have listened to four commentaries.
Reading the old posts in this thread gives fascinating insight into disk recoding standards in days of yore. Those who need full 4K for movies might be astonished/horrified!

Thanks a lot, Skalman!

This is a movie, I sonehow missed before.

I'll pick the blu-ray. You always have a good upload speed. ;)

Yes, mkvmerge works, but it's easier to use the mkvtoolnix GUI. Include the tracks you want, remove everything else. One video track and at least one audio track probably. Maybe subtitles. Named chapters are important to some people.

Or use a player that can load external tracks. Or someone else might want to make a bigger or smaller encode from the original blu-ray video, maybe in AV1 or H.264, and share it.

To keep it simple this time, testing the idea, I only shared tracks that are completely in sync. I have Prime web-dl and DVDs too, but it would be difficult to combine tracks from different sources.

What's wrong with my eMule? It freezes as soon as the download starts. :|

I downloaded it fine. Maybe your issue is the Windows Update that my computer demanded be installed first?

No, I don't have a pending WIndows update.

I think it's just my (very old) eMule version which has problems with high loads or too many sources.

I finally could download the 2.83 GB version.

I really don't think a newer eMule update will help unless you are still using v0.30. ;)
But maybe there is too much demand on Skalman's files, sure.
I have seen advice here to be patient with eMule but I am sure you already know that better than anyone else!

(I admit I was not trying the big file, just the other parts.)

This is a repost of files previously shared on eMule. These ones here are direct-download only.

These are PARTS of a complete audio-video file that must be assembled in MKVToolnix, for those who enjoy that.

BluRay Remux video only: [Code] This fichier link for the Remux video will only last 30 days from the last download. I will NOT reshare it. [Code] DTS English audio only: [Code] [Code] AC3 English Commentary audio: [Code] [Code] EAC3 audio and various subtitle languages can be used from the smaller MKV in the post above.
