Any sources available for the DVD rip?

I tried syncing the existing subtitles to the youtube version with subshifter but it's impossible, probably due to variable framerate. The DVD version may be the only way to watch in english

Thanks for bumping this movie, this looks like a lovely little movie. I can always give the sub-synching to the youtube video a try.

Just like everyone else I found the DVDrip subs are apparently for a different edit than the YouTube video. I think it would take tedious manual adjustments to many lines to fix them.

Somebody on eMule has a 720p version with external subtitles in some language. Let's wait until that finishes and compare it to the 1080p version for scene-matchup & runtime before you go whole hog with a lot of effort. I will share the ed2k links when the files are complete and verified.

I have made some progress on downloading the DVDrip because someone has shared it. If a higher-def version is preferred, actually SEEING the scenes where the subtitles are will help syncing the other version -- especially for those who do not know Lithuanian!

I'm sorry, that I forgot to continue this thread.

This "somebody" is me. I tried to get the dvd-subtitles in sync with the 1080p file from Youtube, but it isn't only a framrate issue, it has different cuts and some short scenes are missing in the YT version So I made an AI-upscale to 720p.

:-o

The scenario you describe was exactly my interpretation, based on the filename and the old posts. (But I had to keep an open mind and wait until I had it to know for certain and make serious recommendations.) Since you say the 1080p YT version is missing some footage, I am now much less interested in trying to adapt the subtitles to it.

Thank you!

Yes, I think they wanted to make it more "YT-friendly". E.g. the scene in the beginning where this guy is sniffing cocaine in the bathroom is missing.
The 1080p picture quality is probably better, but I'm pretty pleased with my 720p.

I found a WEB-DL from HBO in 1080p. It is not cut like the version on Youtube.
