I have noticed that ghost is extraordinarily reliable at finding better versions.

Yes. Just for giggles I experimented and looked for this film (found in less than half a minute) and another that I knew existed in various forms (found one file in a few minutes.) So it is clear that my problem had been that I used it as a last resort for something that did not exist (really, I have some obscure tastes) and then became disenchanted and gave up on it. I just need to use it more often as an alternative to google and then I will have a higher success rate.
