The video is king of "laggy" and slow. There definitely is something wrong with the files.

Just tried playing multiple episodes. Same issue on every one of them.
The huge audio delay makes it unwatchable. Too bad.

Yes. Someone definitly messed up with the framerate (60 fps! ) and destroyed this nice series

If using VirtualDub, go to Video -> Frame Rate... -> tick "process every other frame ("decimate by 2"). This will drop the video frame rate from 60 to 30. or from 59.94 -> 29.97. 60 and 50 fps video won't play on most stand-alone devices and is unnecessary. But chances are the video at that speed is interlaced and needs de-interlacing. The simplest method, again in VirtualDub is the Deinterlace filter with "interpolate using Yadif algorithum"... though there's more complicated ones to learn!
Virtual Dub 1.9.11 can work with mpeg2 files (typical for satellite source sources).
If you want Ghost or me to advise on best re-encoding you could take a screenshot of the source file in a cool small bit of freeware called "Mediainfo". https://mediaarea.net/en/MediaInfo

I think we don't have to talk about VirtualDub. The episodes were recorded from digital TV. If it was broadcasted in France, the framerate will be 25 fps (standard for Europe). Someone just reencoded it and set the framerate somehow to 60 fps. This has been the mistake.

Matco, keep sharing - at least - the parts 4,7, and 9, please... It allows us to seek through the series and to judge whether it is worth watching or not...
