I was trying to compare the German (Russian) Part 1 with the French Part 1 and they seem to have completely different edits. The German (Russian) version has more footage with the children, which the French version replaces with entirely new and older characters.

Actually you were not particularly wrong! There are several famous and popular Indian cast members. Scrolling through and seeing that it started out dealing with children and a TIGER in British colonial India I wondered if it was a Rudyard Kipling (Jungle Book) story.
(Sandokan is a human pirate, apparently as ferocious as a tiger. But this takes place in India so the TV Mini Series also has a few furry wildlife fangs and claws type of tigers.)
I downloaded one more ITALIAN AUDIO version from eMule. It seems to be a 2-hour re-edit of the 5-hour original into a condensed version of the whole story. It is Standard Def TVrip but does not look quite VHS, maybe it was a DVR. The playback needs to be changed to Aspect Ratio 4:3 because it is stretched out.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Myste ... ack_JungleThe Mystery of the Black Jungle (Italian: I misteri della jungla nera) is an exotic adventure novel written by Italian author Emilio Salgari, published in 1895. It features two of his most well-known characters, the hunter Tremal-Naik and his loyal servant Kammamuri, and introduces his most famous character, Sandokan, the Tiger of Malaysia.

UNVERIFIED EMULE LINK found with emule search.
I was not able to download ANY of it. It has a shortypower result so maybe the source is just LowID like I am, and someone with HighID can connect. Or maybe it has now disappeared from emule, I don't know. My best guess from the size is that this is all 3 parts together, in Italian.
