When I looked at the Google translate BEFORE watching the short, I had a "WTF?!" reaction. I thought Finnish-to-English was worse than I expected. I had to watch it to understand.
When I did a few corrections, I UNDID some of what Google attempted on the nursery rhymes because it just made them worse. It was better to leave some lines in nonsense Finnish. Watching the short, it was obvious that she was singing to herself, so it did not take much to realize they were nursery ryhmes. Reading them I could see the alliteration and rhymes. When all the translation engines failed for that particular one, I did a search on the whole rhyme and it led to the Wikipedia entry. As for translation, just imagine trying to translate the English line "Eenie meenie miney moe" into ANY language! It won't work because it does not MEAN anything.
