I had to switch to Chrome from Firefox earlier this year because of some problem I can not remember now. That I might be returning to Microsoft's Internet Explorer is pretty amusing ... no matter what they are calling it now. I have just a few extensions per browser, but I only REALLY need an adblocker.

Hello!

I'd like to use this same topic (to not create a similar new one) just to ask a question:

Have you ever tried the transcription service - to generate subtitles to movies - offered at https://ai.opensubtitles.com/ ?

Or could you please suggest some other site / software that do a similar thing?

Thanks!

I've used https://freesubtitles.ai/ in the past, but none of my recent attempts worked on the site. "Your file is not an audio/video file or is corrupt" error, no matter what file I tried uploading. But it did some good work in the past.

If you're willing to give it a try, subtitleedit incorporates whisper functionality in its system, and you can transcribe whatever you want for free.
