so change server. which one are you using?
The server is chosen automatically from the list of 31 servers (gruk.org). What I recently observed is that I don't have any sources from people who are connected to eDonkeyServer No2 (unless I got sources via sources exchange). I tried to connect that server manually, but the connection failed (connection to most other servers works fine and I have highID). Looks like Kad does not work very well either, even though I have non-firewalled Kad connection.

I will try to tweak some networking parameters and temporarily reduce the number of shared files to see if it improves anything.

eDonkeyServer No2 is always overloaded (I think it's the target of a continual and ongoing DOS attack). When it fails to connect try again immediately. Keep trying, it usually works for me about the 3rd time. After five attempts I give up on it for a while, but that's rare.

eMule automatically checks other servers in your list for sources, if you have 31 servers I think it will check them all every 15 hours or so. Perhaps the checks of eDonkeyServer No2 get lost due to the connection problems. I will try another for a while. But I get most majority of my sources from Kad or source exchange anyway. eMule is good at picking up sources but not always immediately.

That makes me confused. Some people say it doesn't matter which server to connect, others are trying hard to connect eDonkeyServer No2 :crazy

The problem is that even if the connection works, I get "connection lost" after a couple of minutes and another server is connected. Of course, I could remove all servers but eDonkeyServer No2, so eMule is *forced* to connect to that, but does it make sense?
