Spoiler:

When I was talking about Pausing eMule downloads I should have mentioned that if Pausing a download is used, it should not be done frequently or back-and-forth Pause-Resume in quick succession. Emule will automatically BAN Aggressive Clients which will cause an inability to download from the targeted Source for an unspecified period of time.
https://www.emule-project.com/home/perl ... show_topic
The new client system will blacklist clients which reask too often (more than once for a file within 10 min), and they are not allowed to download from you. The blacklist is cleared when you restart emule.
This means that the Source whose Emule Cient has banned you from downloading needs to restart Emule to get you off the Ban List. You can not do anything yourself except wait. Not that I am successfully uploading much anymore, but I typically have closed and restarted my Emule once a day to reset Ban Lists and everything else.

I have long suspected that other downloaders will run afoul of Emules hidden rules and get banned without necessarily doing anything deliberately aggressive, so I made sure to give them another chance at downloading from me. Back when I was frequently uploading with HighID, anyway. Some days now I do not run emule or torrent clients at all.

My advice for downloading is still the same. Be patient. Do not try to force anything. Ghost is right that Pausing is not necessary and does not help. (I do as I please because much of the time I do not care if I am unable to download a particular movie.) Don't fiddle around with your Emule client. Just load the files into it and make sure the Status is either Downloading or Waiting and NOT Paused or Stopped and then leave it alone. Don't sit and watch Emule. Go back some hours later and see what is completed. When you have to shut off Emule and your computer, go ahead and do it. You can resume Emule another day and once it has found sources it will resume downloading where it left off.
Just to shorten this post, I put your quote in a spoiler

Does Ghost ever restart his eMule client? Because this might be the only possible reasoning as to why I haven't been able to connect with him

I can be known to be a little impatient and before I knew about all this, I did from time to time stop and resume the downloads if nothing was happening to see if that would fix the download.. If I knew this was a feature, I wouldn't have messed around with the downloads

So, maybe I gotten on Ghost's "Ban List"

Sure! My computer can't be running 365 days/year without retarting. But most of the time eMule is running. Day and night.

It really seems that our 2 clients can't get a commection anymore. I don't know the reason. Maybe it's your low ID. I don't know. I don't think that you got banned.

I remember when I first used eMule, you were able to see me

But now, i don't even know anymore

Sometimes I have some feeling that I can connect with you on certain movies/shows but then there's other movies/shows I can't seem to connect

But now I just do what I can.. If the download works, neat.. If not, oh well

Thank you, I wish more people would edit or Spoiler what they quote. ;) The entire post does not need to be repeated!

eMule/Statistics/Clients/Banned shows the number of clients currently banned. (I supposed that may only be banned clients currently online and seen by the host's client. (?)) I think it also gives a notice at the bottom of the eMule window if anyone is banned. When I saw someone banned, I would restart eMule soon especially if there were no immediately active uploads or downloads.

Maybe you have moved on in the stages of eMule grief to indifference, resignation and then finally acceptance?
