Anyways, this is a good movie. Ignore the previous lame comments from the old site posted way back in 2005. If you liked the version with Hayley Mills from 1960 you will probably like this one. The amount of detail put in this movie to make it period is impressive (Set in 1913) and very cute Georgina Terry does a charming job turning everyone from sour chumps to glad & grateful . Just like the movie from 1960 I had a smile on my face after watching. :D
I never understood why anyone wanted to trash someone's efforts when they deserve applause and respect for going to the trouble of bringing something new to everyone's attention. Nobody's going to like every film brought to FLM - if something doesn't seem interesting, you don't have to download it... but I know I've missed a lot of good films because the subject didn't strike a spark at the time.

Thanks for this, ptg.

A lot of the early posts at the old site were like this thread. It is no wonder that it did not garner much attention. No cover image, no screenshots and as you mention zero respect for the contributor. We are a much better place these days.

Enjoy :D

a lot of posters still need to work on presentation,i hate people just dropping a link on us,no images and minimal information.

Amen!! That's one of my biggest beefs with some posters that feel they've done enough just to locate or even rip a certain film and, as you said, 'just drop a link'. It only takes a little extra time to create an 'enticing presentation' as starfish well knows.

Many thanks for the upgrade, ptg! :thumbsup

There's a 720p web-dl doing the rounds on torrents - Yify etc. Don't know if it is worth the bother upscaling from 720p to 1080p when we already have ghost's excellent upscale from DVD to 1080p.

https://yts.mx/movies/pollyanna-2003
(I have this and will gladly share if anyone wants it, but the torrent is well seeded and downloads in minutes.)

Like you, I don't know if another upscale will improve upon what we already have from ghost. But thank you, I'll happily add this version to my collection.

And going back a few years ...

Here, a 720p container of what looks like a SD broadcast:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cphvugjtFKQ

IMDB has this 1982 "The Adventures of Pollyanna" as 90 minutes, but it was part of "The Magical World of Disney" broadcast in a one hour time slot. So they are wrong and the YouTube video is surely complete with its ~48 minute runtime. See info here:

https://www.ultimate70s.com/seventies_h ... television
http://ctva.biz/US/Anthology/Walt/Disne ... 81-82).htm

There, that only took a decade. If anyone wants it on eMule because YouTube is uncooperative for them, post and I'll make an eMule RELease thread for it. At the moment this post here is all I have energy for!
