Yes. In some ways the market's decision to define UHD by the horizontal dimension makes this easier, although confusing in that now we use both methods.

I got it downloaded in 720p from Tubi in the U.S. using yt-dlp and no VPN. English subtitles too. I will post it when done reading once I find or create the correct movie thread. I am just doing things one at a time.

Yeah, unfortunately the subs for that movie on tubi isn't hard-coded, only Soft subs

Yes I got the soft subtitles also with yt-dlp and resynced them to the download. It is annoying that Tubi subtitles downloaded are sometimes out of sync when they are apparently fine streaming.

Moonee, I looked at your screenshot. Were you using Video DownloadHelper? If so, I know it sometimes has a limit on the resolution it downloads. I have seen 1080p videos limited to 720p. So I guess it sometimes limits 720p videos to 480p. Maybe there is a Premium version they want to promote that gives full resolution. If not that then I do not know why.

Ah, yes. The browser plugins can't mux together separate video and audio tracks, which is sometimes how platforms stream higher resolutions.
