I use subbiee.com almost exclusively now because of the convenience of its Firefox search plugin and its good results. It does give frequent "resources exceeded" messages but it's almost always accessible sometime later.

Here is the list of servers it claims to search, useful as additional resources if subbiee's down and I can't wait:

I have best experience with search in the style http://www.all4divx.com/titulky/TEST/any/1 . It can be implemented to IEXPLORER as search tool.

This page does not contain subtitles, but only references to other pages. But when such search is negative, seldom you can be succesfull with other searches.

Adding multiple subtitle engines to the Firefox/iExplorer search is (almost) the quickest way to find subs. I have opensubitles, subbiee, and subscene in mine, and I can just type the search string once (or highlight and right-click search) and move from one sub site to the next if I din't find what I am looking for. I will have to add all4divx on your recommendation, I was avoiding it because I thought it was a worthless site I had never had luck with, but now I realize the site I hated was a different one with a similart name (allsubs I think).

(By the way, I edited the thread title and removed "Definitive" and added "good", "definitive" is just silly unless this list is actively updated and designed to be complete, which it isn't.)

You will find many useful subtitles there: http://morriss.lx.tripod.com

I got an interesting remark from FLL about this site:
It's worth noting that that site's creator mostly translates into French from other languages, and posts the English subs as found elsewhere.
(One of the English subs there is one I created myself, which I had uploaded to opensubtitles. As a general subs resource, to me http://www.opensubtitles.org/ is the king, 1.5 million subs.)

I search this site: https://www.opensubtitles.org/en
Some of the time it requires a captcha and won't let you download.
