The 1.4m users is reported by the server, there's no reason it can't make that up just as easily as as it can make up file counts.

In general I trust the safe server links, but I wonder if that one might simply not have updated their server lists. Remember that it's possible that when a server is shut down the RIAA/etc takes over the actual server. Usually when that happens they use the same www address but at their own web server (with a different IP address). It's conceivable though that they took over an actual server. I'd be careful, that many files seems high.

If you connect to it do you get real results and peers? That would go a long way towards making me feel safer...

First-Load EDonkeyServer no.1 appears to be a fake. This is what Peer Guardian blocked within 30 seconds of connecting to that server:

If anyone has a link to download PG that comes with a good uninstaller, that you can see when its running, and one that actually updates when you want it to. Please post it.

Download, extract and if necessary rename to ipfilter.dat and move to your emule\config folder.

Just got a report that the Sharing Kingdom servers are fake/spy servers. Stay away from them.

Oh, PG, ok. Anyway, it did that to me once. I just reinstalled. Updates fine now.
