Looks interesting. Would love to see one of the Saw series devoted entirely to slaughtering children. Wow! Whadda blast!

LOL

Always wondered what the statement "Sarcasm is the wit of fools" meant. Thanks for clearing it up, Amadeus. ;)

You obviously haven't even watched this movie ["Looks interesting"...]. Your small attempt at humor was an encapsulation of redcat's entire mini-minded rant [which in itself was an unbelievably arrogant assumption that one's personal 'OPINION' is all you need to make sweeping ignorant statements.].

kev.

Oh, come come now. An occasionally exploding child in cinema is not the end of the world. What hypocrisy. OT is clearly more shocking than torture and death. :thumbsup

Well said, kev. :thumbsup

Just because I don't like a particular movie doesn't mean that the director is crap. Just because I like a film doesn't necessarily mean that everyone else will like it too. There are a lot of people of there, and some of them have tastes that are different from yours. :bigups

Hypocrisy? lol

Don't really get where you're coming from... I LOVE the 'occasionally exploding child in cinema'! :thumbsup

Your original statement ["Looks interesting. Would love to see one of the Saw series devoted entirely to slaughtering children. Wow! Whadda blast!"] seemed to imply [at least to me] that you were gleaning from the previous posts in this thread that the gist of 'Defenceless' was about children being murdered and you were sarcastically responding to that notion without taking the time actually watch the movie. I was responding to that.

If I was wrong, I apologize.

As far as the hypocrisy between 'ot' and 'violent shiite', I tend to agree with you: For some reason in the English language it is much more socially acceptable to discuss a topic in which the word 'rape' is used than to discuss something that involves the slang word 'fuck'. To ME 'rape' is a horribly violent assault on someone where as the occasional [consensual] 'fuck' is quite pleasant. ;)

The quote from me that you used was more directed to statements made by redcat whom I feel is mistaking his 'opinion' for 'fact'.

kev.

Oh, I see.

I was responding to it on its face. The idea to placing children in a Saw movie was inspired by its title and cover. Even so, if the movie were that good, why fuss about it with condescending remarks directed at eachother?

To clarify: "Defenceless" is not about children being murdered. The still I posted is just a small section.

Interesting that some people have gotten hot-headed about the director. I have seem some others from Savage. There is Sensitive New Age Killer (action) and Stained (true drama, I think, about child kidnapping and porno production). It is short.
