Hey, I posted "Smådeckarna" a week ago and there are several complete sources already. It was my DVD rip and I only posted it here...
Ok, not Morse code, probably Pony Express though :)

I forgot about Smådeckarna, sorry. That one was as slow as the others but then a lot came over pretty quickly in a relative burst. I think (as you've said) your ISP is throttling, and it's not completely consistent.

I would be happy if I can get a movie in 2 weeks or even a month! You wouldn't download a single movie at a time, I suppose.

BTW, I am waiting for some stuff released here for more than a month already!

If I like a movie, I always buy the original DVD when available, so I don't have verified ed2k links for most of the stuff I post.

The DivXForever site says the resolution is only 352x240 anyway, so I won't get too upset if this isn't complete. Ouch my eyes.

Newly-released films here usually go quicker, lots of people jump on them and spread them around to each other. Unfortunately like torrenting many eMule users don't reshare to at least a 1.0 ratio. So some films have few sources and it takes a while.

If there are multiple people on a film and they are all stuck at the same % for a few days, that's different, the full sources have gone away. If you have any of those ask here and usually someone can reshare.

It takes a while to look for sources, but I think I have one for this film, I will only know when I get it (soon I think).

Is this "reshare ratio" something I can control? As a user of asymmetriic connection (like most other people, I suppose), my upload is much slower than download. I don't think I want to lower my download to reach 1.0 UL/DL ratio...

I am sharing everything I've downloaded. In fact, the server says that it is ignoring some of my files, because there are more than 1000 shares. Everything I've posted is set to release (unless I forgot some...); I hope those are not ignored.

I've got stuff in my download queue with 0 sources and not a single byte downloaded (released here, though). I will ask for reshare when the active downloads are finished.

Note that there aren't any explicit OT scenes in this movie. You might be disappointed ;)

It is nevertheless one of my favorite movies for a long time.

This is a dual audio version, but one is probably dubbed Russian and the other is similar. And almost 1/3 of the file is taken by the two oversized audio feeds, so the quality is decent but not as good as BLT's. And no subs. I'll look again later but even though it's available on DVD in R1 I haven't found anything else.

EDIT: Looking at what others have this named on eMule, the languages are Russian and Hungarian. The second channel sounded dubbed to me, but maybe not.

No, I mean cumulative upload not rate, it's controlled mainly by how long you leave a completed download shared. Ideally everyone leaves it shared long enough to upload as much bandwidth as they originally used to download. But I understand this isn't easy or even possible for everyone, and I am not complaining. If I cared I'd find a torrent site that enforced ratios. But it is occasionally disappointing to upload 10x the size of a file and find you are left as the only complete source. There's a "FairPlay" eMule setting in some mods (e.g. MorphXT) which helps by prioritizing files until they get to 1:1.

Some people thus won't download it, others are more likely to download it. Most fall in the middle. Within our main subject area there's a wide spectrum of both users and movies here, keeps it interesting.

I wonder if *anybody* here is more likely to download a movie *because* it does *not* have explicit OT scenes. :think :icon_roll2

That many movies are good even though they don't have OT scenes, is of course another thing. I agree that a displaced OT scene may even ruin a good movie.

Anyway, I think this movie does not make sense without subtitles (unless you understand Russian or Hungarian), so I asked my friend to post it in TLM. He has the DVD and a much better connection.

Yes. Though I admit it's not usual. But if there is no explicit OT but almost nothing else is known about a movie, the thinking is there's a better chance it's being posted because it's a good movie. Also, OTness makes some people uncomfortable.
