There are many hosts, where you don't have to create an account or pay money to download without limits.
moidisk.ru
filesurf.ru
teradepot.com
hotshare.net
..just to mention some. There are many more.
And they even workl without javascript if you are concerned about security.
Thing is, for FLM purposes it is very rare to have to upload something. 99% of what most people here use dd for is grabbing files posted on other boards. rousseau's rapidshare uploads were only meant to get around the fact he seems to be blocked on eMule by his ISP.
It is good to have a list of hosts, though, thanks.

something related i noticed. as far as emule is concerned. i pretty much have pinpointed who is downloading-uploading from me and i noticed several different versions of emule. 48a,48b,49a,49c and so on. i was using a different version than i am now on my other computer. (a newer version.) but i found that the version i am using now was connecting to more people. perhaps some versions may be having conflicts with others?
(i am no expert to emule, i got mine working well and haven't messed with it since)
just a thought

It's no question of the version #, but of the mod you are using. A lot of people are using eMule in modified versions to get better results. Some mods are regarded as "leechers mods" and are automatically banned by others. I'm using "Applejuice" right know which is regarded as "community mod" and becomes banned by several others, too. So I can't even see certain sources...
To handle this, I have a second eMule installed, the "pure" original version from
http://www.emule-project.net. I need it seldom - it's compatible to every mod, but it's by far the slowest version...
