Thanks for reminding me about Nutcracker in 3D (mentioned in the first post but not really discussed.)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1041804/

I saw a review last week that mentioned it was playing nearby, but was very uncomplimentary of it as a movie. Said it changed too much from the Nutcrcker story which is so well known. Since it has Elle I wanted to see it but was too busy last week, but it has apparently already closed. :(

Here's part of the review:
It’s official: 1964’s “Santa Claus Conquers the Martians’’ and the Dudley Moore “Santa Claus’’ (1985) now have competition for the Worst Christmas Movie of All Time. The esteemed Russian director Andrei Konchalovsky has taken “The Nutcracker’’ and turned it into a disastrously misconceived musical fantasy adventure. With Nazi rats. It’s now called “The Nutcracker in 3D,’’ and, baby, the 3-D ain’t the worst of it.

I am not a fan of Konchalovsky, but that sounds like this movie might be even worth watching :think

"Vivaldi" still seems to be in production - probably should keep this in Forthcoming Releases. I'll change the thread title.
