Weird thing...
Quickone posted a thread on
Sinister and I checked the availability of ed2k links for it AND 'The Possession'.
'The Possession 2012' only has a few links listed and all seem to be in foreign languages, whereas 'Sinister 2012' has tons of links available.. I saw 'Possession' in the theaters [2x.. The film itself has a lot of plotholes, but I thought Natasha Calis was pretty cute {though not the best actress I've ever seen}].. Obviously her 'cuteness' won me over; even in her vicious, possessed moments!
The blu-ray is due out January 15, 2013. I'm sure legit ed2k links will be available soon before, if they aren't already.

I would be leery of any links out currently. Several fakes and crap quality ts/cams have been posted on torrent. There is nothing at all listed on the scene of a proper not even an r5. As soon as I see something I will give a heads up.

NOTE: The.Possession.2012.DVDRip.XviD-RESiSTANCE is also floating around it's 1.5GB in size vs 700mb, same source though so don't see to big a difference maybe tweaked video ect. I couldn't find an emule link for it though and I don't have it as I'm buying the Blu-ray

Digitally recorded video actually compresses very well. Probably they use highest x264 compression (very slow) and maybe even apply some filters that enhance compressibility (but reduce picture quality). I bet they can't do 700mb with a noisy old movie that hasn't been digitally remastered. According to my experience, the quality of those 700mb rips isn't so great, but maybe it depends on a movie (how many high motion scenes, etc.).
