I had long suspected that the scene had been edited and wanted to provoke someone who had read them and cotributed in research (I didn't know this forum yet).
That loses credibility because apart from your assertion there is nothing to back it up, I just based it on that,
I have sometimes claimed 'alleged' deleted scenes and I say 'alleged' because they will only be my theories or my imagination until proven or corroborated otherwise.
I've seen a lot of cinema in my life, even a 10min OT and still it's not a CP, only people with conservative thoughts see it that way.BugMeNot9999 wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2024 5:30 pm But even if explicit, I don't think it was pornographic
It was probably the first films to deal with sensitive issues and to generate controversy in its country, but in the end it ends up spreading like a fog.

If anything, it is IMDb that loses credibility by often publishing certain user contributions without manual checking by their staff.Sully23 wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2024 6:21 pm You wrote that!![]()

I would remind you that the credibility of my thesis is instead supported by:
1) Obvious cut within the scene, at the exact moment when Anka puts her hands on her hips.
2) Mathematical demonstration
3) Existence of 85 and 86 min versions in East Germany and Sweden respectively.
4) Post by a user on a Polish forum who shows that he has seen the complete copy of the film, describing the scene as more explicit than the one we have seen in the censored version.
Re: [REL] Nie bede cie kochac (1974)
There is a discontinuity there, obvious once you've seen it. As for how long the cut out part is, or what it may have involved, that we're having fun speculating about but don't really know. Most likely it involved the camera panning below her waist while she examines herself down there. Possibly also pulling back to show her whole body at once. But that's just a guess. Plenty of movies have sex or violence considered a little too much for TV censored out. It's not an unusual occurrence by any means. We shouldn't be surprised that the theatrical release showed a little more than a cable broadcast version.
BugMeNot's analysis of time differences sounds right. Although we don't know for sure that this one scene explains the entire length difference. There may have been other scenes cut out entirely. Because it's too explicit isn't the only reason a scenes might get trimmed. Sometimes the station simply wants to shoehorn it into a certain time slot so minor "boring" scenes get dropped.
I would point out that we can't be sure whether that one user on the Polish forum is being truthful or just trolling. How many times have you read posts from someone claiming to know someone who works at the studio and has inside information on a show, like whether it's been renewed or cancelled, then it turns out what they said was wrong? I'm not saying this guy is a liar. He may very well not be. But right now we have only his word.

The German (DEFA) title of this movie is "Ich kann dich nicht mehr lieben, Vater". It couldn't be found under this name now, but maybe someone could have recorded it on VHS when they had aired it, however, this version could be censored as well.
According to this page, https://nudografia.pl/Gra%C5%BCyna_Michalska, she could have another "interesting" scene in the movie Ziemia Obiecana (The Promised Land) which was shot one year later but this one was cut out completely, in this case.
Never mind, I'm downloading this movie now. If her on-screen time turns out as too small, we will move this link to VOT...

The German version is in the Federal Film Archive, but it is not available in digital form. It is definitely the uncensored version, because the length in meters (2303) is almost the same as written on the DEFA website (2304), so it corresponds to the duration of 85 minutes.jezevex wrote: Sat Nov 30, 2024 7:18 pm The German (DEFA) title of this movie is "Ich kann dich nicht mehr lieben, Vater". Here is the film:

Here is the request form, if someone wants to try (It would be better to have someone who lives in Germany and speaks German):

Re: [REL] Nie bede cie kochac (1974)
It is clear that this version has been around for many years, in the beginning it was just TVrip quality, and there was no HD in sight, but the question is different, where is the recording from the Polish broadcast (nowadays) in HDTV1080p quality? I can't find it anywhereghost wrote: Sun Dec 01, 2024 10:56 pmThanks for your efforts, Alex.
