I love it when they shoot scenes on beaches that should be absolutely mobbed with tourists, yet they're completely empty except for our couple. Like they're on some pristine wilderness planet all by themselves. No random vacationers ever walk by. Not even in the distance. I wonder how much local officials charge per day to put up barricades and keep a place like that clear?

Well, not all beaches are packed with tourists, they can find a remote wild beach, or they were filming with the first rays of dawn, when people are not yet there

Alas, it seems like it'll never get released. There have been problems with licensing rights, contacting the actress etc.

I've been to greek islands out of season and there can be almost nobody around. Some of the islands have populations 20x higher in summer and are ghost towns in the winter as everyone gets the ferry back to the mainland. Almost zero tourists between Nov - March. So just film in the morning or out of season. And back then before mass commercial tourism - easy - 1000s of greek islands of various sizes. Many beaches away from towns that are on dirt tracks, only accessible on foot or by 4x4 even now! And these islands will be 40-55F / 5-20C even through winter months.
