I made a new 1080p version from the DVD using Topaz Starlight. It's really a major improvement.
So you can delete my previous upscale if you still have it.

May I ask what fps you're getting? You're using Starlight-mini, right? Upscaling must take days.
Oh, I get it. First you upscale with starlight to base resolution, then upscale with proteus model.
Did you ever try upscaling movie with Starlight mini only?

I'm getting around 2.15 spf (at least for this movie). I split a movie in parts of 15 minutes and run the clips separately.
I use DVO Scala for the second upscale to 1080p. It gives me more natural results.

I would have mentioned it, when the video had subtitles. I don't know if any exist. I guess no, but I didn't check all 15 pages of this thread.
(I posted the reason why in a different thread.. Also in the spoiler)
Spoiler:

Is someone able to download the English subs from opensubtitles and post them here as attachments?
I can't afford a VPN at the moment and I really don't trust Free VPNs
And the website is blocked in my country (Damn government)
Also, thanks citronleaf

Oh yeah... I vaguely recall someone saying something about opensubs being blocked for them on copyright grounds, which just sounds bizarre. I still have to expect that most people will look there. (And ghost is right that scrolling through long threads trying to find possible hidden subtitles is tedious. I just happened to be recently familiar with them because I had done just that.) I wanted to confirm that I was not ignoring opensubs! "I saw those subtitles, but I did not care for them."
