Story of a dysfunctional family whose grandfather with Alzheimer's comes to live with them. He begins to confuse his granddaughter, 11-year-old Lou, with his deceased wife and childhood sweetheart at that same age, regressing to his own boyhood and trying to win her affection. It's mostly sweet and not awkward. Well, except for the time he tries to strangle the paperboy (with whom Lou has a budding romance) in a violent fit of jealousy.

The super cute Lily Bell Tindley (12 yo) plays the lead character, with nearly 100% screen time! Real life sisters Charlie-Rose MacLennan (9 yo) and Eloise MacLennan (~ 8 yo) are in supporting roles as Lou's younger siblings.

Wow, what a random find! This looks so good I believe I should found it years ago! Thanks ghost for the upgrade and deadman for the DVD iso (and for all of your ISOs!!). Thanks to everyone here who kept interest in this thread alive for 10+ years. I'll keep an eye out for subs.
