First I noticed that it was an upgrade to an FLM movie I did not have, and THEN that it was a Charles Bronson movie I had not seen! Alright! Thank you very much!

Too bad Bronson did not do more movies with young people. Schwarzenegger did "Kindergarten Cop" and I would have loved to see Bronson in something like that.

See Kinjite: Forbidden Subjects, I think it was originally listed on the Moviegirls list, it was a long time ago.. I remember seeing it for sale on VHS at a local market, but was too worried to buy it at the time

Holy shit Rich, "Kinjite" is not a comedy with cute little kids. I would certainly choose Bronson as the man to rescue underage girls from forced prostitution, and that movie is kind of ROUGH. In my post here, I was imagine-wishing for seeing more of the gentle side of Charlie, which he DID have but very rarely got to show in movies. Sure he could still crack baddie heads like Arnie after him, but I would not mind seeing him sweet with kids! Maybe even a little bit of what we saw with Arnie as Alyssa Milano's daddy in "Commando": an incredibly violent action film, but he was so adorable with his little girl.

What about Commando?! Pity the girl is not in that more - I never looked up if she did other films.

Her main purpose in Commando was to get kidnapped so Arnie could rescue her, but they at least bothered to establish them as an appealing daughter-father pair. Alyssa found her fame on series TV, and most of her movies seem to be B-grade at best.

I could not see Charles Bronson as a teacher - except maybe in one of those movies where they screw up, get reassigned to a school in the hood, and decide to clean out the gangs all by themselves, the hard way (Death Wish High ;) ). Mr. Kersey, you really need to stop shooting the students! Looks really bad on our quarterly paperwork.

From what I understand, Charles Bronson himself was about as much of a touchy feely guy as the characters he played. In other words not at all. Light hearted comedy just wouldn't have worked.

 Like "The Principal" with Jim Belushi or "Lean on Me" with Morgan Freeman?

He was typecast as a tough guy but he was a good actor. I think he could FAKE it if given the opportunity. Besides, I have known too many men in real life who are emotionally reserved tough guys in public but turn into soft cuddly teddy bears around young children. (Not teens, who are monsters.) I want to believe that Charlie was like that and you can't take away my fantasy, so Nyah!
