From a 2024 article where she confirms she was 11 in her first film:

"Zu den Zeiten der Dreharbeiten war ich tatsächlich erst elf Jahre alt", bestätigt Katja Bienert im Interview mit t-online. "Wir haben im Frühjahr 1978 gedreht und erst im September wurde ich zwölf." Der Presse erzählte man damals etwas anderes. "Sie haben mich quasi ein Jahr älter gemacht."

"Ich fand das alles gut. Es war ja nicht als Erotik verpackt, sondern als ernster Film – mit Drogen als Hauptthema. Ich wusste, was mich erwartet."

"Mit neun Jahren war ich schon 1,72 Meter groß und komplett ausgewachsen. Ich war einen Kopf größer als meine Klassenkameraden, hatte schon einen Busen. Ich galt als Freak." Beim Sport sei sie immer als Letzte gewählt worden. "Und wenn wir rennen mussten, haben mir die Gärtner auf den Busen geguckt. Das war nicht schön."

Katja experienced what doctors today call precocious puberty. In some cases even very young children, 4 or 5, will enter a growth spurt and start developing sexually years ahead of schedule - this is what puberty blocking drugs were initially developed to treat.

"At nine years old, I was already 1.72 meters tall and fully grown. I was a head taller than my classmates and already had breasts. I was considered a freak." She was always chosen last in sports. "And when we had to run, the gardeners looked at my breasts. That wasn't nice." In Die Schulmädchen vom Treffpunkt Zoo she then played with what she usually hid.

Katja Bienert has always been perfectly okay with her films, and remains so today.

"I wouldn't do anything differently. I had so much fun. It was the seventies and eighties. It was just a different time. Now everything is very strict, uptight and terrible. I actually feel sorry for the young people."

I think the real key is that she was comfortable shooting these scenes at the time. There was no sleazy director pressuring her into anything, or trying to make a move on her. She knew in advance what the role would involve and was fine with it. In fact, it sounds like she was so sick of hiding her body in public all the time that the nudity actually felt ... freeing. I certainly wouldn't have been making fun of her. She had nothing to be ashamed of.
