Well. I'm mostly interested in Characters.

I believe in today's society children (and/or younger people in general) are severely under-estimated.

One of my favourites scenes ist Probably from "Across the Great Divide", when Coop is trying to act wounded, and Holly is sneaking up to him, placing a warning shot on the branch/root right beside his head and says "Don't play games, mister".

Spoiler:

It took me some time to think of a "favorite scene". The "Call my name!" scene gets me every single time, even if I watch JUST THAT SCENE a dozen times in the same day. I know, I am a such a sucker for emotional manipulation.
I occasionally bring up "moonchild" to friends just to see if they get the reference. It's a great scene. Dorothy has a similar relationship to Ozma in return to Oz though it doesn't hit the same emotional highs.

OK, what about ONE scene I really like in a movie that otherwise fails to move me?

The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl 3-D (2005)
(Lavagirl saves Sharkboy, so he throws her in a volcano to return the favor.)
Spoiler:

Max: "I know who you are, Lavagirl. You are not fire, or a simple flame. You are greater than that. Something more important, and so necessary. It is why you must live. You are not destruction, you are not evil. You are... LIGHT."

The girls are the reason for FLM's existence.

There are many Rachel moments, but I chose this one.

I'd second that. That and the kiss scene at the end of My Girl 2.

Also pretty much any scene from Madicken.

I have to admit though, that the undressing scene from Is-slottet is also another favourite. Though I can only ever watch that film with the central heating cranked up to max. Brrrr!
