Moonee, I wondered. Does your problem persist?

Re: Slow Forums?
I think this is not a Cloudflare issue, but caused by bots or too many users. I'm observing the number of users online and there have been over 600 users (bots?) online at the same time recently, which is more than we used to have before. I hope this will not become a frequent issue.
We need this trick for bot protection. You can change first-loves.net back to first-loves.com if needed. If this does not work, you may have to clean the cache. But this will probably not solve the slowness issue.Moonee wrote: Fri Sep 12, 2025 4:05 pm I tried first-loves.com and the web address seconds later changes to first-loves.net

"Most users ever online was 3950 on Sat Dec 21, 2024 6:06 am"
If too many users is the issue, I don't even want to imagine what FLM was like last year on December 21st

Re: Slow Forums?
I think bot-users are more of a problem than member-users because bots are here to hoover-up the site data.

Re: Slow Forums?
problem i'm having is too many posts! Most weeks it's 3-6 "new" pages. This last week 18. WTFF?
Re: Slow Forums?
Yes there indeed have been many new posts. It is mostly Requests as a challenge to find sources for them. It is probably best to focus on the threads that immediately interest you, bookmark the ones that you might want to check later, and "Mark all read" to clear out the rest. The threads will still be here to go back to later when you are in a mood to browse.
