I am very much inclined to agree, I prefer original language audio when possible. As you note, it was common during this era to have many shows and movies dubbed in Russian as the film or shows' official audio, so it's unlikely many of these shows exist in any other form. For example, Tolko ostrov ne vozmesh s soboy, which might have been in Azerbaijani originally, but is dubbed in Russian in every version of the film I've come across.
