sofiane, is this the same file released by ghost above? They're the same size. Just wondering because this is one of those films that definitely needs an upgrade to blueray quality.

This took some time to find! It was a guy selling dvd copies... he even contacted the Hungarian government to get the movie as I remember Then some kind soul ripped to ed2k

I believe the larger file is a reprocessed version of the smaller. At the very least it has some color correction, cutting down on the overall yellowish cast of the smaller version.

Thank you for the insight to the files, Night. I was thinking that the larger file is definitely NOT a considerable improvement though I do appreciate the slightly better contrast. It was worth a try though!

I agree that it is a slight improvement. A full restoration would be cost-prohibitive, but maybe a new telecine of a clean print for 720p streaming is possible.
And some kind of subtitles would be nice too, but I do not see that very often with Hungarian films. Oh well, you take what you can get.
