Oops, forgot to mention: this is - of course - an Arky-rip. You can see "Archimede" in the complete sources.

SUBTITLES
I guess the rip was without subs. You will find english subtitles there: http://morriss.lx.tripod.com/ (many other useful subs available there too).
Maybe I (or somebody else!) should post a specific message about this very useful web page.

Thanks Borgnefesse. You could add this to the subs sticky in the FAQ forum.
It's worth noting that that site's creator mostly translates into French from other languages, and posts the English subs as found elsewhere.
(One of the English subs there is one I created myself, which I had uploaded to opensubtitles. As a general subs resource, to me http://www.opensubtitles.org/ is the king, 1.5 million subs.)

This DVD contains both 
La traversée du phare (1999) and its sequel Les inséparables (2001), starring the lovely Katty Loisel at age 11 and 13 respectively. I didn't know whether to post it in this thread or the one for Les inséparables so I decided to do the full post here and put a link to it there.
The first film is a really wonderful love story between a pair of kids, Eric and Marie. They meet, develop a strong bond, get separated by adults, then find their way back to each other. The second film sees Eric adopted by Marie's understanding stepparents from the first film (who even allow them to sleep in the same bed together!). Unfortunately I could find subtitles only for La Traversée du phare. None seem to exist for Les inséparables, even in the native French. So I added the subs to my disc for the first film. You can certainly watch the second without them and get the gist of it, but there are undoubtedly a lot of particulars we miss. If anyone has subtitles, or more likely speaks French and is willing to create them, they'd be welcome!

Here are direct links for those who prefer that method or can't use eMule for whatever reason. All I ask is that if you're able to use eMule, please unrar to your shared folder and seed this for a while. Every source helps. You can still burn an .iso file to disc while it's being shared. It won't interfere with the recording process.

Oddly. Playing the ISO in VirtualDub I can see subtitles in English on this film - but not the 2nd. But trying to rip them in Subrip 1.5 and it can't see them. Anyone know what's wrong - and weird that nobody else can see the subtitles!!
