Probably, you have already tried this, but just in case you (or anyone else) is still having this issue, it could have to be with the filesystem of the drive... cause FAT32, for example, doesn't support files bigger than 4 Gb, so that could be the case.
Unfortunately, the drive needs to be formatted in, e.g. NTFS or ExFAT, to see if the issue is solved...

Disk Management will show partitions' filesystems, no need to reformat.

Correct, but what I meant was that, if the disk is still in FAT16 or 32, you will have to reformat it in NTFS or ExFAT, to be able to save a bigger file, like 6 Gb. Obviously, you will need to back up anything in that drive, before formatting.

I remember trying to copy a bigger file to a FAT32 drive just one time, but I think it just won't go ahead; I don't remember the PC getting locked up or anything...

I learned that same lesson when years ago I reformatted a flash drive as FAT simply because Windows gave me the option: I had no idea the difference and it forced me to CHOOSE. (Or perish.) When I found out that meant I could not do large files, it was NTFS for everything from then on. I have had drive problems since if I drop them and make all the files inaccessible. I never figured out the problem with the file for this movie, but it was NOT the drive. Thanks for the suggestion.
