This is the best looking version that I believe is out there, unfortunately it only has a German dub. I was actually able to purchase things from amazon.it for a certain time, but now they won't accept my card so I couldn't get the one I linked above. I think it's the same print as the one I got from amazon.de, just with the Italian audio track instead. If someone wants to do the work in syncing the Italian and/or English audio to this version, that would be great.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I still have the one from amazon.es, which at least does have the Italian audio, but doesn't look quite as good and I'm not sure if it's uncut.

You're welcome. You'd think one of the Blu-rays could have used one of these much better prints

WOW! Thank you! I finally got around to comparing this new one to my previous versions. This one is truly astonishing. It looks fantastic. Unfortunately muxing in the audio is problematic and not something that I can do.

My amateur technical observations:
Spoiler:

All the different language versions I have are 23.976 fps so in theory all that is needed is to change the start time of the audio. But this new version actually RUNS LONGER so that the sync gradually gets further and further apart. Perhaps this version was a full restoration from the negative and they reassembled the result scene-by-scene. This could keep adding a half second at every scene change. Or maybe it is due to the actual runtime difference between 23.976 fps and 24 fps. I do not know. The sync starts out ~13 seconds apart at the beginning because of the Columbia logo. By the end of the movie the sync is ~36 seconds apart. Perhaps with audio stretching someone with exceptional technical capabilities and an interest in this film could get the Italian/English/French/Spanish in sync with this one

Yeah, I really wish I had purchased and downloaded it from amazon.it when I actually had the option
