I don't want to make SDH subtitles. I'm doing it for better understanding when I watch the movie.
My English is quite good, but English is not my native language. I just follow the plot better, when I read what I hear.

But I got all words in this scene where he's talking to a woman called Becky on the phone... :P

trans wrote: Sun Aug 17, 2025 7:14 pm Here is a quick subtitle:
omaha.en.srt

It may be missing some dialog and not hand proofread, so maybe you guys should wait for ghost's human subtitles.
But it might help anyway.
Thanks, but I almost got half of the movie now and I want it to be almost perfect.
I can use your subs as a help.

Thanks for your effort.

Damn...

What is he saying to Ella in the car at 00:35:15? (after "All right, together.")

I hear "on track"...

Literally, "track" refers to a path or a route.

Saying "One track" could imply that the car is now on its single correct path or trajectory, meaning everything has started smoothly and there's only one direction to go from here.

It can be a figurative way of saying the engine is running properly and the vehicle is "On track" to operate as expected, symbolizing a successful start and continuing forward motion.

Did some processing and it should now contain more of the missing dialog, but it's far from perfect.
omaha.v2.en.srt
Another was added, which performed better in some paragraphs, but others might be worse.
omaha.v3.en.srt
omaha.v4.en.srt

omaha.v2.en.srt
May I ask what software you used?

I'm not using any software, it's essentially just some scripts written by myself, combined with some work pipelines or proprietary model APIs.
Because it's easier to control some of the stuff and some of the processing flow or details, format etc.
By the way, I added the results of another model, and different models may have better results for different scenarios.

Sounds interesting. But looks like you're not gonna share it...

Enough for today. My brain is empty after hours of editing...

I really got a lot done in one day.

Yes, I don't intend to open source my code, and they aren't intuitive to others, it just fits my workflow.
Of course these are far from the accuracy of hand-crafted subtitles. It's also not as good as a real business solution.
It's just a trade-off choice to fulfill my own needs. I need to transcribe and translate some subtitles to help me watch some videos.

I would never compare it to any handmade work, and I really can't handle every subtitles by hand.
So I have great respect for your work in all of this. I will likewise wait for your perfect work.
So if my work can provide a little help, I'm satisfied. I added the last version and I ended today too.
