Patience! At least since he's one of us we know he'll be back, eventually.
Can't do much about unforeseen problems. My ISP was hit by lightning last month - I kid you not! Fried all the routers and hubs in my region. I was offline for days.

that's the convenient thing with broadband and a stable pc. leave emule running in the background and it should finish eventually. like 3d realms says "when its done."

I don’t care that it takes a long time.
Half the fun is the looking forward to the file completing
Once the file is complete the mystery is over

That is so true!!! You start previewing as soon as you can, then every few hours you get to see a little bit more. A different kind of striptease, and just as much fun.

Talking of previewing, how do you preview any amount completed?
I load either VLC or one of my other players that can play partials into eMule, but I can only preview one length of the file, and that’s only after completing 100meg of the file for example.

Get VLC 0.8.2, then get the partfile plugin for that version.

I often copy the .met file, rename it to .avi. That way, I get a much 'longer' preview.

The same situation happened to me with Fairy tale, I couldn't see a complete source, but eventualy I saw sources with new parts, until I finished Download, It was long more than a month.
