i've tried about 10 different ways to type in this password(ice palace) with no joy,which ten characters are the correct ones ?,
there are 9 letters,4 slashes and 4 of these things (~) thats 17 characters.....am i just dim or something ?

You've got the password for a different movie, Is Slottet... this one is "/\M/\D3\/S" without the quotes.

saroyan, do you know what the source was? The quality is superb, compared to the first release we had here. I searched the internet from time to time for official releases on DVD or at least as paid stream - but to no avail.

12-year-old Katia Wastchenko stars in this set of interconnected tales with tragic, deadly ends.
For those who are curious I found an article about the films of Catherine Binet which contains a whole section on this film:
This is one of those movies I periodically look for on DVD or streaming, maybe available for purchase on a film site, iTunes, or whatever, so far with no luck. Here's the best version I know of. It has English subs - but as usual with my files they're not hard coded, you can turn them off if you don't want them. If you haven't seen this one before you owe it to yourself to check it out!
Here are direct links for those who prefer that method or can't use eMule for whatever reason. All I ask is that if you're able to use eMule, please unrar to your shared folder and seed this for a while. Every source helps.

Comparing the two, it looks like the previous one is a little better quality - 1024x576 compared to 704x456, and 2369kb/s bit rate compared to 2180kb/s - but the new one is still appreciated, especially with the DD links. Here are the two MediaInfo results:

Without a side by side comparison of screenshots it is difficult to say which one is better. Bitrate is not as significant unless it has been encoded with the same settings, given that codec efficiency is not constant. There is a site which puts out 400 MB rips that are very good. A 700 MB BluRay rip will likely be better than a 4.7 GB DVD iso.
