AI upscale is taking a Standard Definition source (like a DVD) and running it through advanced video processing software that uses Artificial Intelligence to increase the video quality to High Definition (720p) or Full High Definition (1080p) resolution. When the studios do not bother to create BluRays or FHD WebRips from a 1080p film source then an AI Upscale is the next best thing.
