Certainly unusual, but the movie is so depressing that it is not comfortable watching. Guess I'm an old softie. Watching a pathetic, scrawny undernourished, unhappy little girl...

..I prefer them happy, like in Madita and Gritta.

Well, as I already said, Hungary has a plenty of excellent movies interesting for FLM visitors, and IMHO consequently deserves not to be classified under "Unlisted".

After a long delay, for which I apologize... here are the English subs!
Like this post to see ed2k links [35.1 KiB]
Also at
http://www.opensubtitles.org/en/subtitl ... rvacska-en
(Note: at times in the past opensubtitles has been
www.opensubtitles.com. Right now only .org works, so if you ever need to try a link to the .com and it doesn't work, just change it to .org.)
Obviously I timed it to match ghosts's DVDRip:

This was a LOT of work but worth it, I love this movie, then again I like good sad and emotional movies and this is definitely one of them...
By the way, one scene (9 minutes in, two minutes long) is missing translation, if anyone speaking Hungarian can help it would be great! I can handle the timing and technical details, I can't handle the spoken Hungarian obviously.

This is great! Well, I've already uploaded Ghost's DVDRip, but no problem. I'll just add it and up it again.
Now, I can finally watch it and understand.

Árvácska aka Nobody's Daughter (1976) DVDRip - English
This critically acclaimed film follows the tragic life of an eight-year-old orphan girl. Living under a government that sanctions money to foster parents, she finds herself shuffled from family to family; with each move she encounters increasingly brutal abuse. A beautifully acted film which explores an all too real pathos.

zShare requires Java-Script. If I can get my other board to allow Rapidshare again, I would certainly rather use them. Especially since they've eliminated the clock and cat code.
