Oh, I see. It did show up as a link.
I have 5Gb but it seems like I can only set the uploading to around 50Kb. Why is that?

Unfortunately this doesn't seem to have any sources.

5 gigabit connection?

Even my network card can do 1 Gb only

In any case it is weird that uploading is limited. I'm not familiar with KMule, but it
looks good. Do you mean you cannot type more that 50 here:

I could and my be wrong, but it says 500.0 Mbps on My connection status. Just a few hours to download a dvd-9. The internet guy is a friend.

One it the settings, and one is the actual load on both sides.

I played around with kMule today and it looks OK but it's Kad-only, no server side at all. It also doesn't have controls to connect/disconnect (not surprising) but you also can't view the log. It was simple to set up and it worked pretty much out of the box, but since it lacks some stuff, I won't be switching. Everyone has their favorite eMule program (I've used MorphXT for years) and I don't want to get an argument started - whatever works for you is great - but you may want to try again to get one of the "full feature" versions to work before settling on kMule.
Step-by-Step eMule Setup has helped some people.
The numbers in your screen capture are
kilobytes. You're uploading 30.1 KB per second and downloading 37.1 KB/sec. Your maximum speeds are set to 96 KB down and 80 KB up, though only the upload limit is checked. You usually want to limit upload speed to about 80% of maximum because some bandwidth is needed for controlling data transfer between you and the outside world. Many ISPs advertise their speed in kilo
bits (which is bytes times 8) to make it sound more impressive.

Let's see. dvd-9 is roughly 9 GB, that's roughly 9000 MB, which is 9000 * 8 = 72000 Mbit. If your connection is 500 Mbit per second, you can download a dvd-9 in 72000 / 500 = 144 seconds
Of course, none of the filehosts supports 500 Mbps anyway and I doubt any FLM users can upload at 500 Mbps. Heck, even my harddisk isn't that fast. Residential connections faster than 100 Mbps (especially upload) are still very rare.

You can set the capacity to your actual line speed and then use the limits to control how much you want to allocate to eMule.

The connection status is the speed of the LINK between your PC (desktop/laptop) and whatever it is connected to (wireless router/ wired router/ modem, whatever). To get your REAL maximum speed, look at the contract between you and your ISP and find out what speed you are paying for.
E.G. I have an 1Mbps connection contract with my ISP. My wireless router is 150Mbps, and I'm currently connected at 58Mbps (that is the speed of the link between my laptop and my wifi router). If I use an ethernet cable to connect my laptop to my router, I will connect to my router at a speed of 1Gbps. Those speeds are relevant for transfers between my laptop and other devices on my network, like other family members' laptops. My INTERNET connection is still 1Mbps.

Here's the scale from BitTorrent. It will initially jump up to the value you can see, but then it is tailored to the value imposed on the Bittorrent system. Yes there are many variables. I use a hidden I.P. which allows me to log into different countries. A wireless router.
I've noticed the hidden I.P. does slow down the loading on both sides., although it is a worthy trade off.
The second snapshot is the connection status. Although it's showing 300.0 I will get 500.0 +. Something I really don't want to share with him.
"Out of site, out of mind". He is a pretty sharp guy, and a great I.P. provider, and I want to keep it that way.
I do have to stress, if you can possibly go to a small internet provider, do so. Stay away from the big players. Although they allocate most of the bandwidth, they cannot slap you with this stupid "5 Strikes" crap. You smaller providers don't bully you the way the big players do. He buys his bandwidth from the big guys, but can do with it what he wants. No download limits, contracts, ETC. I refuse to be "Comcast's bitch".

The Swedish file you shared has still no sources though. I assume you have no public IP and port forwarding is probably not possible with your configuration (hidden IP, wireless provider, etc.).

Never thought of that, but I upload to many others.
Her, I just copied and pasted it in the "Shared Files". Last time I tossed it in and it opened up the OS download directory, but gave me a link.
