You can remember a discussion from 13 years ago, and I could not remember me locking a thread about it last year. Ugh.

It really is perplexing, ghosts memory skills. With hundreds of threads I visited the past month on flm, I often already forgot some of them..only notice later that I’ve already had them bookmarked.

Back in 2010, there was a consensus among FLM members that "Sexuele Voorlichting" should not be posted here. Just saying.
I can remember the discussion 13 years ago. Definitly no FLM material. People can get it elsewehre if they want it.
Apparently that film covers also how boys and girls need to take care of their body hygiene, which i think too many people don’t get taught correctly from an early age on. (https://www.heiners-filme.de/en/Film/70029/)

Anyways, it indeed has no place on FLM; it’s not even a fictional film.

Sorry, I just got the following message from MEGA.
MEGA final warning: Your data will be deleted

We are sad that you have stopped using MEGA, and MEGA doesn’t provide free storage space to users who are inactive for extensive amounts of time. Unless you come back to MEGA shortly, *the data in your account will be deleted*.

If you want to guarantee the preservation of data in an inactive MEGA account, you can upgrade to Pro ([File]).
I'm glad I only uploaded 8 files, not 20,000

BTW, I used 4 MEGA accounts to bypass upload limits, but only the e-mail address associated with the first account received this message :think

That stinks. Free accounts will ALL have their data deleted once they are full unless the owner continually deletes and adds new content. If they sign up for multiple free accounts with unmonitored emails created expressly for that purpose, they will never see the deletion notices. Like me!

I tell ya, it's all part of an international conspiracy: Zippyshare, MEGA, Mullvad, RARBG ... we are all heading toward either subscribing to Netflix and Amazon Prime as the only sources for entertainment, or paying off the MEGA pirate mafia with Bitcoin.

Thanks...my operating system is Linux Mint, and it has aMule in its repository. Will this work with your system?

People have had mixed success with aMule, because it depends on many factors (ie., which libraries the aMule package is compiled with). I think goku33 tried aMule recently, so maybe he can comment if he reads this.

More reliable solution for Linux is running eMule with Wine -- you can find the instruction here. I guess Flatpack and Bottles are used to create a sandbox for additional security. It is also possible to run the installer with wine normally.

If you can use Ubuntu snap store in Mint, you can also have a look if there is eMule snap available (seems not).

At first you can skip VPN and portforwarding stuff, which is optional.

aMule works without issues on Ubuntu-Mate 22.04. installed via official repositories (apt install amule).

When I first tried it, I thought it had the old issue of stopping every download after 25 MBs but that wasn’t the case. I’ve downloaded many Gigabytes over weeks with good speeds.

AndyPanda, should check which version of aMule he got in his LinuxMint repositories.

My version of aMule is 2.3.3. I also have to deal with a Low-ID warning. I'll continue to slog along with the instructions from aMule and any more helpful hints from the FLM forum.

While setting up the emule, is port forwarding important?
I have nord vpn and its does not support that.
