The filmmakers chose the title deliberately to get attention and it worked!

I guess in theory, their justification might be something like, "It's a shortened version of the statement 'I fucking hate the fact that I'm only fucking 14! Your interpretation makes in-narrative sense I guess. That sounds like the thinking behind "Fucking Åmål" where the girls are unhappy being stuck in a boring backwater town (Åmål) where nothing happens. For the U.S./U.K./Canada release they chickened out and called it "Show Me Love". In the English-speaking world, the Australians kept the original title.
