That's no trick. I got digital cable tv and my set-top-box just can record the broadcasted stream. Not unusual.

Hm…I thought most tv streams are encrypted. PayTV like showtime, Sky etc..

Yeah I think I was thinking of these Linux TV receivers that can save the unencrypted video streams from television

With 3.6 GB size it might have a higher bitrate.

For the anal retentive it has slightly more detail and sharpness than the 720p but overall it's the same quality.

I will do. Although yes, with your web-dl being uncompressed I’d think it’s the highest version we can get. The 720p.hdtv is usually encoded from a 1080p tv stream. But obviously all depends on which version the channel aired. (But it should be from the same date as ghosts recording..)

Oh wow thank you reptile12! I had forgotten how good this was, but I found myself watching it intently when I was supposedly just resyncing the subtitles.

It’s truly a shame we don’t get a preview or trailer on AmazonVideo, so we could determine whether @reptile‘s uloz 1080p.WEB-DL originates from there or elsewhere. True 1080p AMZN WEB-DL‘s are usually 7-10GB for full movies. Lower file size like 2-4GB could also be from one of the tv channel sites (mediathek).
