Thanks DreamScape. Not to get too much further off topic, but quick question. Is VideoSubFinder a software that relies on these other OCR reading software in order to do anything? Can it do anything on its own, or does it assume you re using it in conjunction with something else?

Translation from French to Spanish works pretty well. But they're always talking. Only Spanish is worse.

I have noticed that machine translation of Spanish to English works well. So does this mean that if I have a French subtitle I should machine-translate it to Spanish, and then do the same for the Spanish to English? And it will translate better than French directly to English?

Nah! You didn't get my right. I was just trying to say, that the French are talking and talking and talking, and that very fast. The Spanish are similar or even worse. As the result a subtitle file has pretty much text in it.
