I need to watch this movie. Love post apocalyptic settings,. Loved the last film, didn't know there were any youngsters in it. Not the kind of world you'd want to be a young girl in.

Honestly, forgot this film was coming out at all.

Really enjoyed this movie, especially the beginning with Alyla Brown as Furiosa. Not just because I preferred her, but I thought the movie was a bit better paced and more exciting in the first half. it had that break neck pace of Fury Road. Not that the film is ever slow paced by any means. It really sucks that George Miller is an 80 year old man. He is the only person making these type of old school action films these days.

I liked Alyla in 2024's Sting as well. Kind of had that 80s Gremlins family style horror film going for it, and she is the lead so she's in nearly every scene.

Furiosa I'd give a strong 8/10. Closer to 9 than 7.
Sting I'd give probably a 6/10. It is GOOD and worth a watch if you're a genre fan, but not amazing.

I like reading your reviews, marvingray.

I've come to some of the same thoughts as you, namely the admiration for George Miller continuing these movies into his 80s. I enjoyed the movie throughout, though I must admit, for as long as the movie already was, I wish there was more continued storyline with young Furiosa before the time jump. They left her in such an interesting moment!! Despite the ages of the crew and the difficulties of previous productions (and fact that this movie performed poorly in cinemas), I am still holding out hope for one more Mad Max, rumored to be titled The Wasteland. But I'd take anything, even just a write-up of their ideas of where the next story would go and what would happen.

It has been a long time since a major mainstream movie has sucked me in as much as this one had. I was filled with the wonder of its story and environment. For me, it's a 10 out of 10, though some of the crazy road war devices and feats got a little preposterous. They were still totally cool, but it was almost like they had to one-up all of the road war scenes from the previous movies, with the parasailing and parachutes. Makes you wonder how they would outdo themselves again in a new movie. Maybe rocket planes fashioned out of old speedboats and red-toy wagons. They already have parachute and man-lifting kite material, so how about hot air balloons and airships that are strung together with fishnet stocking, pet food dishes, shower caps, and ice cube mold trays in the next movie?

What bums me out is I can't think of one director that could make an action movie on this level working today. The big, preposterous action scenes should just go bigger and more preposterouser IMO. A few stunt actors might be turned into a fine pink mist in the process, but that's part of the movie magic!

And it's not just the stunts, the world building with all the terminology and outfit designs for the different gangs and the vehicle flourishes, you just don't see this attention to detail in many films these days. Even the smaller more personal scenes are excellent, later in the movie when Furiosa and a certain other character are alone out in the desert, some of that dialogue writing was just excellent.

I can't put it to words how much it bums me out that so much attention and craft can go into a film and then I see comments dismissing the entire film because "woman main character. movie bad" Like is this really what the discourse around movies has come to? It makes me just want to completely check out from ever even reading any mainstream opinions on pretty much anything ever again.

The site has gone offline.

Does anyone know what the best current original version (non-AI upgrade) is?
IMAX? BluRay ISO? Dolby Vision / HDR10? Dolby Atmos / TrueHD?

Welcome to FLM, Reynolds!

I have not compared different versions myself but I know that there are dozens of full-disk Remuxes of this movie.

TGX or a site that uses the name has changed location many times. Right now I see it here: https://torrentgalaxy.one/

I mostly use a Rarbg clone for newer releases, as its original shut down: https://therarbg.com/
