Uploaded images and attachments are both safe. Even if the cloud account should be terminated, we can find another provider and restore the images from local backup.

Good question

Usually weekly or so. But images are also cached in the server and probably there is enough space to cache the images for at least a week, so there should be 2 copies (server and cloud) of even those images that aren't backed up yet. This is actually better than attachments that aren't in the cloud (yet).

I'll look into possibilities of sharing the cloud with all admins The cloud is now shared with all admins who can make their own backups as they like.

Unlike postimage and other image hosts, our images are in one place and doing backup does not require web page scraping and other special techniques. Ideally there would be an external image host that is reliable, without ads, with backup option, etc. But it just does not exist.

So how does one go about uploading images? I'm trying to use this flim feature for the first time, but I see no explanation of anything other than the syntax for inserting image IDs into posts.

Click "Full Editor & Preview" at the bottom of the thread page.
Click "Add images to post (max file size 2MB)" at bottom of window.
Either "Drag files here" or click "Add files" button at bottom of popup.
Click through your computer folders until you find where the images are.
Highlight the images you want and Click "Open". (This is in Windows, I don't know about Linux or Mac.)
Click "Start Upload" at bottom of popup.
Wait until it loads them into the post.

After, you can backspace once between the individual "flims" to scrunch them together in a grid.

Text can be composed around the images.

Ah, so it's integrated into the post editor. I missed that little line of blue text at the bottom. Was that there when postimg was being used? If so that's probably why, it's always been down there and I've always ignored it.

It looks like imx and vipr require registration to use. Ibb, imagebam, & imagevenue can be used anonymously. Tiny Blondie might be able to say how long anonymous images last. At one of the sites I specifically chose it NOT to delete after a set time. I clicked the Upload option and then clicked through the folders on my computer until I came to my Pictures, then highlighted and uploaded several all at once. After uploading I copied the "BBCode" for the uploaded images and pasted them into my FLM post with no additional coding. Uploading multiple larger file images (PNGs) can take up to a few minutes, although I did all 3 sites at the same time so that might have slowed it down. It looks like even when choosing the largest size available for all of the sites, ibb comes out the largest.
