And the controversial discussion about the age of Dawn Dunlap, which personally was one of his works made into a film and the protagonist is befitting a teenage girl.

12 year old Tarja Airaksinen has two scenes in Tirlittan (1958)

Here's 14 year old Lyanka Gryu in Obnazhyonnaya natura (2002)

11 year old Rita Orosz in two scenes from the short made-for-TV film A visszhang titka (1973), a Hungarian version of The Girl and the Echo.

And of course, we can't forget 11 year old Lina Braknyte in Paskutine atostogu diena (1964), the full length Lithuanian version of The Girl and the Echo. Am I alone in thinking every country should be required to produce their own version of this particular tale? Seriously. There should be a UN resolution or something. :D

I'm surprised the french never did a version, most of us know they love (or used to love) any excuse to include some underage nudity. ;)

In America some countries in that hemisphere would opt for the swimming costume, in Argentina I would have directed Ivan Noel but it would be a child :( , in Japan it would be anime, and another country would only use CGI to make OT.

To tell the truth you don't need the UN but risky directors who care about what others say.

Munted (Short 2011)
IMDB description: A nine year old girl, abandoned by her mother, and a man, with a tragic past, form a friendship in the New Zealand country side that is not understood.

Apologies if this has already been mentioned(if that matters.) Don't actually love this short, but this particular scene fits and is good.
