On CG, I found there is the uncompressed "DVDR" encode of the VHSrip, by the same ripper, Exclavius. It is 3.49gb, and likely doesn't offer too much more quality the the 1.69gb VHSrip. That is my guess, but I am willing to download it and share it here if anyone is interested.

Hi, did you find this movie in a less good quality? Because in VHSRIP quality it's impossible to watch, everything is blurred.

This is what the search found, the first site, but transitions are prohibited, photo frames from the movie is clearly in good quality

The version I found is the encoded/compressed original version from with the 1.69gb VHRrip was created from. I haven't downloaded it, but the quality is very much likely the same as the version you've already seen. Not much help this time.

I appreciate how you often seem to be on the lookout for upgrades to these more uncommon movies with limited releases.

Yes, there is a list of movies I have VHRrip quality, which I check from time to time to see if a particular movie has been released in better quality

In any case, the original film stock exists, with such a maestro of cinematography as Michel Piccoli - his films are masterpieces

I think you are thinking of someone else. The lead actor was Michel Piccoli and he has been in a ton of great-looking movies, but he was not responsible for the cinematography nor the direction. For this movie the cinematographer was Ousama Rawi. (I am not familiar with his work, but Michel Piccoli I know.)

Yeah, it would be nice to have better than VHS for this one.
