FLL posted that comment 3 years ago and it was pretty much true then. Things change a lot on the internet in that length of time.

After some 14+ years here is an upgrade - BluRay, 1080p, x264, 8.25GB.
Virginie Ledoyen's debut film - at her cutest.
Sadly, Italian language - but with English, German and, unexpectedly, Vietnamese subs.

IMDB says spoken language FRENCH, and the rips above do look like they were dubbed ( lip sync issues ). Also, 1986.

Thanks, emuler!
Maybe we can find a French version and mux it with the BluRay-Rip.

Thank you emuler! I had heard of this one but never seen it. Virginie is adorable!

While emuler's monster-sized file has been downloading I looked for French audio sources.
emuler's file is 100 minutes. The brand-new 1080p torrent files (at Rarbg, I think) seem to be variations on this source. I only downloaded one of them to confirm. (It was small.)
The uloz file is Italian. The usual Russian streaming sites mostly have Italian or Russian dub in 480p.
However, on EMULE I found a 480p dvdrip with DUAL audio, both Italian and FRENCH, runtime 96 minutes. I assume this difference is due to PAL speedup but did not do comparisons to look for missing footage. They have multiple sources including one that is VERY FAST. If any of you audio stretching gurus want to stretch and mux it to the longer 1080p file go right ahead. That is WAY BEYOND what I am willing to do.
You weren't kidding about that source being fast.
I did some calculations - even allowing for the frame rate difference there is a time difference of about a minute. The lip sync is good though - they are actually speaking in French (at least as far as I can tell). I'll try to do a comparison of the Italian audio from both and try to spot the differences. When I have time.

Aw, I thought it was exact! (100 minutes less 4% = 96 minutes) Is one of us doing the math wrong? Are the credits a different length? All I knew was that there was no way *I* could make them fit in a mux.
Yeah, I could definitely tell the French was matching and the Italian was not. I paid particular attention to watching Virginie's lips. Mmmm. (TALKING, people!) But I can happily see her in any language.
\EDIT/ I just noticed both the monster file and the baby file are done. Woohoo! Thanks!

Thanks for sharing this interesting movie, everyone. I look forward to watching this, though I will spend a little time first deciding on which version I will go for. I do prefer matching dialogue but not too picky.
Not to distract the conversation on dubbing and muxing, however, I DID follow the link posted by ferdii here originally leading to the book. The link is no longer working, but after some short work, I was able to find a couple other translations of the original short novel. It is quite an easy read, and PHEW, I have to say, it is quite the steamy read! Quite a romp! The main character's sister Berthe does have some interesting scenes.
I am having just as much fun with the original run through google translate as I am with the published English versions.

I'm confused, what do you mean by Sadly?
This is an italian film so wouldn't it be a good thing that this movie is in italian?
I'm one that loves to watch films in the original languages (with english subs ofc)
Most times I can't stand watching a film that's dubbed in a different language

Keep reading the followup posts. Virginie is French and probably eMuler wanted to hear her actual voice rather than the Italian voice artist. To be fair, Italian cinema had a long history of post-sync dubbing by professional voice artists and even the Italian superstars did not necessarily provide their own voices for the soundtrack.
