Does their Status say "Waiting"? If they do and you are setup & connected properly, they should start on their own when your emule connects to the sources.
To upload an image when making a forum post, use "Full Editor & Preview" at the bottom of the page and then "Add images to post".

In the lower right corner I can see that you are not connected to either ed2k or Kad.
A few things to try:
Click on the lightning bolt "Connect" in the upper left corner, wait and see if it does anything.
And then:
Go to the Servers tab. Are there any Server Names listed? If so, double-click on one to connect.
If not, go to the box on the right side of the screen called "Update server.met from URL".
And then copy this and paste it into the box:
[Code]
Then click Update and Servers should appear. Double-click on one to connect. (eMule Security is excellent.)
After waiting, if it connects, then you can go to the Kad tab. Click "Recheck Firewall" in upper right corner. It will take longer to check the Kad.
If you are successful then it will say "eD2K:Connected|Kad:Connected" in the lower right corner of your eMule window. If you are LowID then the globe icon will have yellow arrows, not red. In the unlikely event you magically get HighID, the arrows will be green. Go back to the Servers tab and look at the "My Info" section on the bottom right side. Kad Network might be "Firewalled" but that is OK because emule will still work. See my picture below.

I used Microsoft Paint to scribble over the image I took to hide the IP and ID addresses. This is to maintain privacy! If you post a screenshot of your eMule Servers tab, make sure to use something to cover those addresses.
If it still did not connect we have to try something else. Later I can look back at what happened after you tried these things...

Thanks for taking the time to help out!

NO WAY! For real? Have you been able to download anything from emule? If so that is wonderful!

Ok I installed version 0.50a
Now how do I open the file using emule. Also where do I find the file link? It is very complicated and not straightforward instructions you gave me.
OK, update I installed the app and I opened the file with emule. It is not downloading though. It's in the transfers section of the app but, I don't know what to do from that point on.
Ok, second update I made progress. It is just taking forever to complete the download.
Welcome to FLM

Any tips on how to get it to load faster? It is only doing 40 kilobytes at a time. Which is incredibly slow. It's taking days to load. Also, I just reopened emule only to find I lost 8 hours of download completion. Can anyone help?
I am not quite clear -- Do you mean you exited emule so that it was not running? If so, then of course it will not download. Peer-to-peer downloading requires both you and the source(s) to be online while you have emule running; it does not download "in the cloud" and then appear complete when you start the emule client.
I apologize if I totally misunderstood you here.
Also, you should make sure you do not have Windows Sleep or Hibernate modes enabled while you are using emule. Emule has the option eMule -> Options -> General -> "Prevent Standby mode when eMule is running" that supposedly helps with this. I myself have Sleep disabled from auto-starting in Settings > System > Power & battery on my computer and I never choose to use it. Leave the computer running with emule open; you can reduce the screen brightness with the Function keys so that it is totally black if you wish.
If it downloads 40 kb and then stops downloading for a long time, I admit that does not sound right to me. But if it was running consistently at 40 kb/s then it should be done by now...

Is it just the video file that you have to load or is it the smiley face files that have to load as well?
So it completely stopped again and I'm scared if i exit emule I will lose another 8-15 hours.
So I won't exit. I will keep it running but, I'll just have to keep disconnecting and reconnecting when it completely stops for idk whatever reason.
Also, I did what you said to do and clicked on prevent standby mode. Hopefully it loads and works now!
